Year 5&6 Camp

Today I read Lucy's blog post about the Year 5 & 6 camp. She told us about sleeping in a tent how it was really hot in the day and how it was cold in the morning. Lucy really liked the cooking because the girls made cheese scones while the boys were cooking corn fritters and smores and they even got to eat them at morning tea time. They also went to kayaking and to do top town wich is a challenging obstacle course.

Lucy's blog is going to be a bit similar to mine any ways It was a very hot day  we had lots of cool activities like Top Town, skating and kayaking. My favourite activity was cooking because the girls made chocolate chip cookies while the boys made bread. We also had Top Town wich is a  energetic obstacle course thing.

When we slept in the tents it was very cold at night and when it was bad weather at night we would have to come out of our tents with our blankets and sleep in the classrooms.Every morning we would be woken very early and we'd have to do at least 3 or 4 songs to warm us up before breakfast.

We also had Kayaking we had to listen how we had to hold the paddles and how we were had to get in and that. When we started everything was a disaster all of the kayaks went everywhere and people were getting swept away from the wind but we all had fun and kept safe and that was the main thing.

Year 5 & 6 Camp - 2016

Walt: write an interesting recount about camp

So this week we had to create a presentation about camp. Our challenge was tell our audience about camp in a way that is interesting and engaging.

Things that I learnt from camp are: that I can challenge myself to do Cooking, Kayaking, Dance and skate and can succeed. I also learnt that working in a team can be easy when you all communicate well with each other.
